Congressman Allen West released this statement regarding the Democrat Party platform:

Patrick Murphy’s Party Demonstrates True Colors with Israel Platform Turnabout

“Caught in their attempt to quietly throw the Jewish State of Israel under the bus in their party platform, Patrick Murphy’s Democrats dragged their party faithful kicking, screaming and booing to a vote to re-instate pro-Jerusalem language and references to God. It was a cynical, political move to hastily pull a veil over their true beliefs.

While the 2012 platform now reinstates the language about Jerusalem, it is still far weaker than the 2008 platform which recognized Israel’s right to exist, stated the United States and its Quartet partners should continue to isolate Hamas, and made mention of the creation of a separate Palestinian state.

Since 2008, the policies of President Obama have only served to further isolate Israel, a tiny glimmer of freedom and liberty in the Middle East and our strongest ally in the region. His disdainful attitude to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and by extension, the Jewish people of both Israel and the United States, is reprehensible.

How this President, this Democrat party, its Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and her lapdog, Patrick Murphy, have the nerve to stand in front of Jewish Americans and say they support the State of Israel is unconscionable.

The only positive thing about this disgusting turn of events is that the American people now know without a doubt where the Democrats stand on Israel and the Jewish people–and it is clearly not with them.”

“Yes, we will “say” that the delegates voted for Jerusalem (but it is all about getting more votes and is strictly cosmetic).”

Generally, I have no time for politicians. I just prefer them to stay out of my pockets. However, there are always exceptions. This man is one of them. I want to tell you a story about him – I spend time with veterans on Facebook. I have fe
lt that we as a nation have been derelict in providing them proper and timely medical care and often their pay grades changes are so to come. When I heard what was going on in Ohio – there were some problems regarding a few days delay, and many of the vets were told that they could not vote, but the illiegal immigrants could vote in Florida without ID or anything to establish that they were citizens. I have had enough with the current administration. I wasn’t going to let it be – not this time. Our veterans have contributed so much this Country and to the World and they ask for so little in return. They have died for us, they have became disabled for us, and they ask so little in return. They have given to the American people and almost every Country in the World, Freedom – the greatest of all gifts as guaranteed by our Father. They have pursued it and defended it – and they can’t vote or even get a toothbrush from VA – NO – that won’t do. I had heard Senator West speak before and I was impressed. I was going to get this fixed. I wrote to the Senator and made it clear that I had a problem with the vets not being allowed to vote. I didn’t expect a response – he represents Florida and I live in Kansas, but he seemed like a Good Man and that is all that this Country really needs. The very next day he was on Fox News talking to Greta about voting and the military. It is not always possible for the veterans to be able to vote. He man not have won the battle with Greta, but he did win a lot of votes that day. So, we know a few things about him – he acted responsibily -went out of his way in fact to bring it to somebody’s attention. He is a man of action – there were no political games – he didn’t contact anybody in Ohio to get permission. He acted promptly and with integrity, honestly, and he told the Truth! Now, to some of you that may not sound like much, but it told me a lot about him. He is a man of his word that can get the job done. Senator West should be the one in the Oval Office – I would feel a whole lot better about our issues – financial and foreign. So for the folks in Florida, you got a super deal here.

Wish he was in Kansas, or California or New York or the UN.
Thank you Congressman West for helping to restore my idea of what Leadership really is.
