The Democrat party is looking for a new slogan to brand its lack of identity with. They even had a contest of sorts trying out various phrases. They are a total laugh. Former Congressman Allen B. West takes on their need and offers a few of his own suggestions. In the process, he points out a few things that they seem to have forgotten about their past behavior with the American worker. Read on as Mr. West give them a “helping” hand.
As Written By Allen B. West for allenbwest.com:
I just had to laugh at this story, as it depicts the desperation of the progressive socialists of the Democrat Party.
As reported by Fox News, “Democrats, after lengthy deliberations, reportedly have settled on a new slogan – and it’s not exactly getting rave reviews.
The winner, according to Vox, is: “A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages.” But considering the party has been scrambling to regroup with an effective message and strategy since its November thumping – all toward the goal of retaking at least one chamber of Congress next year – Obama
“If your slogan uses a colon or a comma, back to the drawing board,” tweeted Jon Favreau, former speechwriter for then-President Barack Obama. “Fire every consultant involved,” added Jon Lovett, a former speechwriter for Obama and Hillary Clinton.”
And here’s what Senate Minority Leader, Senator Chuck Schumer, said in a New York Times op-ed, entitled “A Better Deal for American Workers,” on the rebranding of the Democrat Party:
“Americans believe they’re getting a raw deal from both the economic and political systems in our country. And they are right. The wealthiest special interests can spend an unlimited, undisclosed amount of money to influence elections and protect their special deals in Washington. As a result, our system favors short-term gains for shareholders instead of long-term benefits for workers. And for far too long, government has gone along, tilting the economic playing field in favor of the wealthy and powerful while putting new burdens on the backs of hard-working Americans.”
This guy is delusional and representative of the moral bankruptcy affecting the Democrat Party. First of all, the biggest special interests in this country are aligned with the liberal progressive socialist agenda, the media, entertainment and academic elites, unions, trial lawyers, and cultural elites. These are the same folks who deride and denigrate the everyday working Americans. These are the folks who were called deplorable and demeaned for clinging to their “guns and religion.”
Now, for the umpteenth time, we’re supposed to fall for the lame bovine excrement that the Democrats actually care? Not again, America fell for the empty rhetoric and slogans of one Barack Obama, “Hope and Change” and “Forward” — the latter being a theme used by Marxists. Then there was the inane “I’m with her” theme of the Hillary Clinton campaign…nothing about America, nothing about the common American man and woman.
The modern-day Democrat Party is being reflected by the violence, coercion, intimidation, and chicanery of these disconcerting street movements and protests — Black Lives Matter and Antifa come to mind. It’s also a party defined by specific geographical regions, mainly the coasts, major cities, and specifically states such as California and New York.
America went through eight years of a “better deal” and saw it was a bad deal under the failing policies of Barack Obama. For Senator Schumer and the Democrats to believe they can just come up with a new slogan is disrespectful to the American people, and indicative of a party with no message.
Right now, I think the perfect brand slogan for the Democrats should be “WE LIE BETTER.”
Ask yourself, in the aftermath of the November election, what has the party of the jackass stood for? Two words: Russia and resistance. Now, can Senator Schumer explain to me how any of that is supposed to help, and be a better deal for American workers? Barack Obama was the perfect progressive socialist ……..
