Regardless of where I am, you’ll never have to question whether I possess the intestinal fortitude to fight back. I know it drives the liberal progressive socialist cupcakes mad.
As Written By Allen B. West:
Yesterday America received very bad news and yes, I’m sorry for the passing of Carrie Fisher. However, I’m speaking of the farewell from Dr. Thomas Sowell. I’ve been a very dedicated reader of all things Sowell, and he became a true long distance mentor.
Without a doubt, Thomas Sowell represented one of the great conservative minds in our Republic. Yesterday, Sowell penned his farewell column, and there are many of us who will miss his regular missives, but we understand. The 86-year-old Sowell has given so much to the modern constitutional conservative movement with his clearly articulated writings on economics and culture. To look upon Thomas Sowell as a black conservative would be cheating him, he was just simply a brilliant man, someone I strive to be. Sir, as they say in the maritime services, “Bravo Zulu, wishing you fair winds and following seas.” Enjoy your time traveling and taking pictures at our beautiful national parks — you earned that privilege, and more.
And in that same vein, if you’ve noticed, things have slowed down a bit at allenbwest.com and there’s a reason.
First of all, as you know, I’ve had two visits to Trump Tower to discuss the possibilities of continuing my service to our nation in Donald Trump’s administration. My visits were on the consecutive Mondays of December 5th and 12th. And so the West family patiently awaits, as we’ve not heard anything back at this point.
We’ve just come through what may end up being the most critical presidential election cycle for the future of our beloved Republic. We were so humbled and honored to have been able to play a small part in informing and educating you, enabling you to sift through the madness, providing you with thorough perspectives and insights. We wanted our readers to be the best informed, to be citizens, not subjects…and y’all came through big time.
If the call from the Trump transition team doesn’t come, we’re not going anywhere and will remain on the cutting edge as we head into the Trump administration tour of duty. As y’all knew, we’re not about being Kool-aid drinking sycophants. I took an oath of office to the Constitution, not to a person, or political party. That commitment stands, and we will critically analyze any policy forthcoming. You deserve that.
And again, our family wishes to thank y’all for your sincere prayers and well wishes for Angela’s dad. He suffered a stroke that induced hemorrhaging of the brain two days before Thanksgiving, and sadly he has not fared well since.
As you know, I lost my dad back in 1986, so Angela’s dad, a career Soldier, had kinda fit that role for the past 27 years of our matrimony. Regardless, I’m committed to still, in this Christmas and Hanukkah season, keeping you, our faithful and true readers aware of what’s happening around us, in a simple language.
After all, how many fellas can articulate a comparative analysis between the Spanish Civil War and the Syrian Civil War? Doggone, I love this, and with the retirement of Thomas Sowell, I’ll dedicate myself to being an even stronger conservative voice — in the Trump administration or not.
Anyway, I want to share with y’all this story we’ve been talking about on these pages, incessantly.
We must stop with this dismissive attitude towards the infiltration of militant Islamic jihadism in America. It has nothing to do with “profiling” or being offensive, nor with discriminating against “marginalized populations.” We have a big problem, and there’s no sign it’s going away.
As reported by the Washington Times, “Law enforcement agencies have arrested nine Northern Virginia residents on charges of aiding the Islamic State since the terrorist group rose to power in Syria and Iraq in 2014 and launched social media propaganda to attract followers, a government message to police states.
The Northern Virginia Regional Intelligence Center issued profiles of the nine in a Dec. 21 report labeled “law enforcement sensitive.” Such reports are designed to help state and federal agents recognize trends in the types of individuals who are influenced by the Islamic State’s message and how they communicate across terrorist networks. A defense attorney in one of the cases accused police of anti-Muslim bias; his client later pleaded guilty.
Somalis living in Minnesota appear to receive the most press attention in the U.S. for wanting to help or join the Islamic State. The FBI arrested six residents of Somali origin in April after they made arrangements to leave Minnesota for Syria. Last December, a 20-year-old man of Somali origin was arrested on accusations of leading a group of ethnic Somalis attempting to fight for the Islamic State. The Northern Virginia report shows that Muslims seeking to become mass killers live near the seat of American government.
Of the nine individuals charged with aiding Islamic State, all but one were in their teens and early 20s. They included a police officer, a Starbucks barista, Army soldiers, bankers and a cabdriver. Four of the nine graduated from Northern Virginia high schools, one with honors. Two attended Northern Virginia Community College. In other words, all of them appeared to have opportunities via public education to become successful Americans but instead were charged with what amounted to a devotion to violent jihad. They are suspected of conducting terrorism planning through Twitter, Facebook, Skype, WhatsApp and other platforms and apps, as well as on prepaid phones.
“Local police are in a particularly difficult situation,” said Robert Maginnis, a retired Army officer and researcher on Islamism who lives in Northern Virginia. “They face a severe challenge by Islamists operating in the shadows of our open society. These mostly young male Muslims become radicalized either by Islamist imams at some of the thousands of mosques across America, at school, or over the ever-present internet sites that spew anti-West, anti-Christian hatred.”
We’ve spoken countless times about the Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Explanatory Memorandum written by one Mohammed Akram in 1991 that detailed the “civilizational jihad” objectives for this organization the Obama administration refused to designate as an islamic terrorist organization.
The document was discovered in 2004 during an FBI raid in a home in, wait for it… yes, Northern Virginia. It was in Northern Virginia that one Anwar al-Alaki set up camp and it was there he conferenced with one Nidal Hasan. We know the unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Islamic terrorism funding case in U.S. history, the Holy Land Foundation, the Council for American Islamic Relations, has an office…where? Yes, you guessed it, on Capitol Hill, on the House of Representatives side. You know CAIR, the organization with whom our own FBI broke off all communications as they have direct connections with Hamas, and serve as slick, suit-wearing Islamic jihadists in America — with political access.
Ladies and gents, my point is that we have clear and distinct evidence of swamps where militant Islamic jihadist activity is emanating — why not focus our intelligence gathering resources there? And spare me the empty concerns about “Muslim bias” — this is about trend analysis and following the trail that leads to the hot beds of jihadism in America.
The time is coming where we must drain this swamp and that means instituting surveillance programs that aren’t about violating civil liberties, but about protecting Americans. We have an enemy, an adversary who is hiding in plain sight, telling us exactly who they are and what they want to do. Question: do we want to live in abject fear as in Germany and the rest of Europe? I say no. And I’m quite aware CAIR has me in their top ten list — frankly, I’m trying to make it into their top five. Needless to say, it’s a badge of honor to be considered a threat to CAIR and the domestic jihadists lurking in the shadows here in America.
I’m very glad President-elect Trump has chosen former U.S. Marine Corps General John Kelly as our Secretary of Homeland Security. Unlike the current occupant, Jeh Johnson, I don’t think General Kelly will be addressing the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), one of the organizations listed in the Muslim Brotherhood’s memorandum. Oh yeah, we shared that story about Jeh Johnson pandering to ISNA. Johnson’s actions are emboldening the enemy who sees us as cowards, refusing to meet them on the battlefield of ideological confrontation, instead acquiescing to their inane and insidious demands. Such as the ones made by the Muslim Student Association — another group listed in the Muslim Brotherhood memorandum — at the University of Maryland to have muslim prayer rooms in every building on the campus.
Simply stated, the response should be that of U.S. Army Commanding General of the 101st Airborne at Bastogne, when the Germans asked for his surrender. When in Congress, I responded in like manner to a letter from CAIR: ”Nuts.” Then again, for the past eight years, we’ve been missing that certain quality in our White House to make that response.
This is why, regardless of where I am, you’ll never have to question whether I possess the intestinal fortitude to fight back. I know it drives the …..
