During his Super Sunday interview with Bill O’Reilly, President Obama said there was not a “smidgen of corruption” in the IRS. He’s right. It’s not a smidgen. It’s a blob.
Last week during a hearing on Capitol Hill, True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht referred to the “weaponizing of the IRS.” We also reported here about Chuck Schumer’s comments to the George Soros-funded Center for Security Progress where he referred to “redoubling our efforts using the IRS and other government agencies” against grassroots conservative groups.
The next round of this progressive socialist assault on voices of political opposition includes new rules the IRA will seek to implement.
Cleta Mitchell, lead attorney in the IRS case, says the proposed IRS rules on regulating tax-exempt groups participating in political activities, is like “big, fat, permanent duct tape across the mouths of citizens” trying to “hold their elected officials accountable.”
Never forget, the American people are guaranteed the First Amendment rights of freedom of speech, freedom of expression, but most importantly to “petition their government for redress of their grievances.”
