FAKE NEWS: WaPo retracts story about Russian hack at Vermont utility

In their hurry to jump on a story about the Russians hacking into the United States power grid, WaPo ran another fake news story. If they had only done a little investigative reporting instead of Yellow Journalism, they would have reported that there was no way it could have happened. Now they can retract their story at leisure.

The Washington Post has retracted its story about Russian hackers penetrating the nation’s electricity grid with a virus found in a Burlington, Vt., electric company laptop.

“Authorities say there is no indication of that so far [that Russians had penetrated the US electric grid],” according to an editor’s note attached to a corrected version of the story on the paper’s Web site.

“The computer at Burlington Electric that was hacked was not attached to the grid,” the editor’s note read……

    As usual, another piece of “fake news” gets swept quietly under the rug. How are most of these “news” companies even still in business? They spend more time “reporting” garbage than they do the news. Journalism is on life support, and it’s not got a good prognosis!
