Hillary Clinton’s legal adviser warns her — It’s Time … Time To Lawyer Up!

As Reported By The New York Post:

One of the Clintons’ oldest and most trusted legal advisers has urged Hillary to hire a criminal defense attorney to represent her in case she’s indicted for mishandling classified documents on her private e-mail server and for lying under oath.

The adviser, who has been a Clinton confidant for more than 30 years, laid out his concerns about Hillary’s legal exposure in a wide-ranging interview.

“This e-mail thing is spiraling out of control,” he said. “To paraphrase John Dean of Watergate fame, it’s a cancer on her candidacy.

“Frankly,” he continued, “I am used to my advice on legal matters being taken very seriously and acted upon by the Clintons. I’ve told them repeatedly that this FBI e-mail investigation could go in a very dangerous direction very quickly.

“I think Bill takes the matter seriously. But Hillary is still acting as though it’s a ……. Continue Reading Here

Goodnight, sweetheart, well it’s time to go,

    (Do-do-do-do-do)

Goodnight, sweetheart, well it’s time to go,

    (Ba-do ba-do)

I hate to leave you(NOT!), but I really must say,

    Goodnight, sweetheart, goodnight.

  • Kelvinator

So who’s the legal advisor? No names? Didn’t think so. Duck you and your click bait!

  • Kelvinator

Allen, I thought I could trust you. I met you on the NRO post-election cruise in November, even asked you to run for president. I hereby retract that request now that you have proven yourself a click-bait whore. “Legal advisor”?. No name? How stupid do you think your readers are. I see your columns every day. No more clicking, pal. I no longer trust you.

    • lfhenry

I’ll will answer for him, its Sydney Blumenthal. He told her pull out of 2016 race or good chance of spending it with striped jumpsuit on.

      • Kelvinator

So why didn’t Allen name him. BTW I believe you, even though Sid is not a legal guy. Just a media whore

        • JustLurkin

          Maybe David Kendall?

          • Kelvinator

That was my first thought. Obviously, Allen West knows who it is or he wouldn’t have written this. So why doesn’t he disclose the name, or say nothing at all?

          • Nannette McGowan

Allen West didn’t write this. His blog site was sharing this as noted by “As Reported By The New York Post:” above the article. Hillary is guilty but Allen West is not.

        • Nannette McGowan

Because Allen West didn’t write the article and his blog site was merely sharing an article, as you would know if you had paid attention to where “As Reported By The New York Post:” was posted above the article.

          • Kelvinator

Will you at least visit my profile before concluding I’m a troll or a lib? This has never happened to me before. Sorry to be persistent. I’m gone now.

    • MmeMoxie

@Kelvinator — If, you had read the whole article, where there is a link, to read it in full – You would have known that Allen West did NOT write this article, but that, Edward Klien wrote this article and it was published in the NY Post, on Oct. 3. 2015.

This was also, an unnamed source, that many reporters will use. They will even go to jail, to not reveal their sources.

    • Nannette McGowan

You are not paying attention to what you’ve read or who the actual source is, Kelvinator. This was not written by Allen West in the first place. Secondly, it’s just sharing an article from another source. Look back at the article and you’ll see it says, “As Reported By The New York Post:” I can’t help but think that you lack critical thinking skills and are just looking for an excuse to blame Allen West for something he didn’t even write.

      • Kelvinator

I never said Allen West wrote it. He published it. And it could be a lie for all we know. I would not have dug myself into a hole by providing a link with now names attached, especially if it was attached to Ed Klein. Lack critical thinking skills? I beg your pardon, no no Nannette. You apparently didn’t read my initial post. I met Allen West on the NRO post election cruise last November and suggested that he run for president! Please revisit. All I’m saying is click bait like this isn’t going to help him, and it aggravates me to read such promising headlines and click to run into a dead end.

        • Nannette McGowan

No, you’re wrong. It was published by the The New York Post. Allen West’s blog site shared the article with a redirect. I bet you would blame Andrew Breitbard, even though he died, for whatever is posted on that blog site, too. You only use your “I suggested Allen West run for president” meme to deflect from the fact that you’re just a liberal troll. This “click bait” stuff is just another troll tactic.

          • Kelvinator

Sorry, No, No. No one has ever, EVER, accused me of being a liberal, or a troll. Go visit my profile and come back with the same conclusion. Not possible. I just have recently gotten tired of so-called conservative news sites, especially on facebook, leading with headlines that tempt me to click to the story that will convince me that Obama needs to be impeached, clicking and finding nothing there. I loved Brietbart, and I DID meet Allen West, along with Brent Bozell, Tim Pawlenty, Ralph Reed, Jay Nordlinger (think any liberals know that name, hmm?), Mona Charen, Pete Wilson, and many more on the NRO cruise in November. Don’t believe me? Look it up. And the first day of the cruise, I met Allen West and suggested he run. Can’t prove a word of it. I just don’t like it when conservatives get behind baseless accusations and set the clock back. I’ve been a conservative since I voted for Nixon twice.
Too bad, Nannette. We might have gotten along in another life.
BTW, I DID read your profile, as I thought you were a troll. You are not. I would appreciate the same respect.

          • Kelvinator

Oh, and it’s Brietbart, not Brietbard. Just trying to help.

          • Kelvinator

I just invited you to be friends on facebook. Proof I’m not a troll. Just a cynic. Warning. I don’t look like the guy up in the corner.

          • Kelvinator

Have it your way. The invitation still stands. Meanwhile, learn a little cynicism. t will do all of us some good.

          • Nannette McGowan

Sorry I didn’t respond as quickly as you thought I should but I was not online because I stopped to cook and eat my lunch. I haven’t received your friend request so that’s why I haven’t responded. I apologize if I mistook you for a liberal troll but I’ve found that Uncle Ruckus, Brendan and Rafael X tend to blame Allen West even when articles were written by staff writers and not by West. Your persistent complaints about this article and blaming West was similar to what I’ve seen by them. If you are familiar with those 3 trolls I’ve named, maybe you can understand why I thought what I did.

By the way, it’s due to my cynicism that I thought you were a troll. Isn’t cynicism defined as skepticism, doubt, mistrust, disbelief, etc…??? If so, I have it in abundance. Especially in our current political climate and due to current media propagandists and manipulation.

          • Kelvinator

You were fixing lunch? Must be on the West Coast. Or further West. I’m in Indiana, where nothing happens.
Sorry if I was impatient. I’ve been dong this awhile, and never have been accused of being a liberal or a troll. It was hard to read. Please read my profile. I spend most of my time at Newsbusters, Brent Bozell’s organization. We conservatives need to be more cynical. The opposite of cynical is naïve. This includes questioning out own websites. I constantly get these headlines from places like Young Conservatives (I’m an old one) that say things like “Obama just said this about America. It should cause him to get impeached. Do you agree that Obama should be impeached?” Then you click and find out something totally innocuous that you already knew. We make fools of ourselves when we do that. I felt similarly when I read the thing about the anonymouse Hillary “legal advisor”, who shall remain nameless, telling her to get out. Nothing is going to happen. Why are we getting so excited?
So, enjoy your lunch, and please accept my invitation. A lot of my facebook friends are people who were once avatars on Newsbusters and are now friends. We have a nice group. Would love to have you join us. Be happy to introduce you around.

          • Nannette McGowan

I live in the Florida panhandle but, since I retired, I like to eat a late breakfast, a late lunch and skip supper. I’m an old conservative who enjoys the Young Conservatives blog site, too. Along with the sites that are innocuous, I find it really annoying to click onto something and find it to be a survey or a fund raiser, too. Some others get your email address when you click on their site and then bombard you with emails until you can figure out how to unsubscribe. Those really annoy me.

I did check out your comment history and I do apologize for thinking you were a troll. There are just so many people today who claim to be conservatives but are obviously extremely liberal. I recently was in a debate with one and when I checked his comment history, he was bragging about being a liberal Democrat from Connecticut who enjoyed pretending to be a conservative all while slamming everything conservative on conservative sites. I cut, pasted and copied his admission of being a liberal from Connecticut and posted it after his comments on a multitude of conservative threads. I haven’t seen him on a thread since then.

Sorry we got off on the wrong foot but I will remember your name when I see it in the future since we do seem to frequent the same sites. Take care.

          • Kelvinator

No problem. My sister is in Orlando. Been there 25 years. I recently retired, as well. I will support the conservative cause to my deathbed. But we have to be honest with ourselves. The facebook invitation stands.
BTW you look no WAY near retirement age.

  • Ted H.

I thought she was “dirt poor”, how can she possibly afford all these lawyers?

    • SilenceDogood

Yeah, that reference was from when they left the white house 15 years ago. But don’t let facts get in the way of belittling someone.

      • Lyndau123

So she didn’t SAY that because it was 15 years ago, huh? She has said it several times SINCE then in interviews! And it is on Video! You idiots cannot DENY it! Just like ALL Demoncraps, deny she said that or deflect to another off topic, right? You have the mantra down perfect! Oooooommmmmmm… So that makes it OKAY, right? Are you STUPID or just plain Ignorant and kool-aid DRUNK?

        • SilenceDogood

Reread what I wrote before insulting me, I said “that reference was…15 years ago”, I never said she hasn’t said it since. I’m not a democrat, Mr. Know-it-all. I’m also no republican. Neither side can be trusted. I believe what Clinton and Obama say just about as much as I do Trump or any other republican. Now, please enjoy your ignorance, it seems to suit you well.

          • Lyndau123

You implied that 15 years ago was the only time – no mention of any other times she mentioned being dirt poor. Read what YOU wrote once again! You totally sound like an ignorant Libturd supporting her statement! Yea, I should be so poor! I do not believe anything that that LIAR says

          • SilenceDogood

You inferred wrong. Don’t blame someone else for your own stubborn ignorance, you stupid republicunt. I do not believe anything she says either.

        • Conservative

Hillary’s reply is simply “what difference, at this point, does it make’?

    • Cheryl Abe

She’s a thief who stole millions in foreign campaign money…Billy boy helps her.

      • metheoldsarge

To say nothing of all those bucks she got from Iran.

        • Bayou_Bull

To say nothing of the money that she and her family made from selling the contaminated blood (hiv, hep) of Arkansas Prisoners to foreign nations and/or their health services….in which they still face lawsuits over.

  • frank96740

How much does this ‘adviser’ make for ‘advising’ this lying bimbo? What Kind of person would stick with this lying bimbo? What kind of scruples (of lack of) does this corrupt individual have? OH – likely it’s all the bucks! Lots of criminals work for other criminals and have NO guilt feelings…

    • metheoldsarge

As long as he gets paid.

      • MmeMoxie

@ frank95740 — Trust me, I wish Hildebeast would go to jail, for all that she has done in the past and as Secretary of State!!! However, there is no getting around the US Constitution, where all pending criminals are allowed legal representation.

While, I really do love the US Constitution, I do wish that Hildebeast was not allowed any lawyers, to help her in this manner.

        • Conservative

If she simply followed the law and if she had not lied repeatedly she wouldn’t need lawyers.

  • Cheryl Abe

It is all a distraction while BO attacks law abiding citizens 2nd Amendment. He and Hillary are murderers who are above the law.

  • metheoldsarge

I still think it was a huge mistake on her part to leave the Senate and accept the position of Secretary of State. Then she wouldn’t have had all these scandals to try and lie her way out of.

In 2007, how many outside of Illinois even knew who Obama was? When the 2008 campaign started, everyone, myself included, thought she had the nomination in the bag. The primaries were just a formality. This virtual unknown came from left field, humiliated her, took the nomination and the White House. In just seven short years he has risen from an unknown to the most powerful man in the world.

Getting her out of the Senate and making her Secretary of State was a wise move. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. With her out of the Senate and in his Cabinet, he was in a better position to keep a leash on her. Remember. She feels this should have been her Presidency. If nothing else, the Clintons are vindictive and Obama knows it.

He also knows that, from the Senate, she would have been in a better position to torpedo his administration in the first term and he could have been out in 2013. That would have left the door open for her to go for the 2012 nomination. Bill was trying to get her to do just that. She was too arrogant to listen to him. I also suspect that, as a Senator, she would have voted against Obamacare because it wasn’t her health care plan.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he was throwing gas on the scandal fire. If he wanted to, he could order the FBI to back off. Remember that she is very vindictive. If she got the nomination and the White House she could seek revenge and put him on the hot seat.

She should have stayed in the Senate.
