Just last week we talked about the Future Leaders of Israel’s pro-Israel campus initiative and why it is imperative that a stand be made on American college and university campuses to combat the anti-Semitism existing there. Well, it didn’t even take a week to support that assertion.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, a pro-Israel student received death threats and others have allegedly been called “kikes” and “dirty Jews” by backers of the virulently anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which aims to delegitimize the Jewish state through economic means. ” University of Michigan police were first contacted last week after two pro-Palestinian activists shouted “threats of violence” at a student who refused to support their boycott initiative during a “sit-in” at the student government’s headquarters.”
What are we allowing our college campuses to become? And has the Jewish community actually become so deaf that its members will continue to allow their children to be exposed to these acts? Or perhaps the Jewish-American community wholeheartedly supports the BDS movement?
And is this the type of behavior that campus administrations accept?
