Rep Allen West has stood up to the elitists and so must we.

‎“LITERALLY UNBELIEVABLE” is when your brain understands what you’re seeing, but cannot accept it. To watch an illegitimate Marxist make promises of providing liberty from tyrannical means while witnessing truly corrupt officials on both sides applauding or condoning the outright lies in the SOTU speech is more outrageous than Orwell’s “1984,” “Atlas Shrugged” and “Road to Serfdom” combined because those USED to be just prophecies. REALITY: We have a mere NINE MONTHS to save our country.

Allen West has stood up to the elitists and so must we. PLEASE prepare your hearts and minds to join the fight to preserve the freedom for which past generations fought and died to defend. We must educate our peers and expose our enemies if we are to defeat this threat to our Constitution and our families.

You and I are politically well informed. But there are many Americans like my family who do not follow politics as closely as we do. Their political views are shaped by liberal media bias hit pieces, spin and sound bites.

99.9 % of my family are democrats because Marcus family traditional taught us the democrats are “for the little guy.” Republicans are “rich white racists.” Liberal media and the Democratic Party jointly support and promote this silly simple lie which still wins the democrats 95% of the black vote.

Despite me, the eldest of his five children being a black conservative tea party Republican, my 84 year old dad’s negative view of Republicans remains steadfast. Dad tolerates my baffling political views because he loves me.

However, I would not be surprised if my family scheduled an intervention. A black van pulls up, a hood is thrown over my head and I’m carted off to an undisclosed location. I am denied food, water, bathroom privileges and subjected to video of Obama speeches 24/7 until I break.

It occurred to me that my family like many Americans are probably clueless regarding the truth of what it means to be a liberal and a conservative. Ironically, the majority of my family lives extremely responsible “conservative” lives. They go to work every day, serve their communities, attend church and raise their kids. And yet, the liberal media has lead them to believe the term “conservative” equals evil white racist.

So, I would like to offer my family and others a little “Conservatism 101.” For fun, let’s call it “Conservatism for Dummies.”

Congressman Allen West speaks to FAU Students and Faculty

Congressman Allen West (R-FL-22) brought conservative politics to the Barry Kaye Auditorium on Nov 10.

West, whose district encompasses the Palm Beach and Broward coastlines, spoke to around 200 students and faculty about the economy, recently passed bills and the importance of maintaining conservative values in today’s society.

After he was done speaking students and faculty were permitted to ask him questions.

In regards to education, West said he’s against  FCAT and the No Child Left Behind Act. “FCAT isn’t teaching [students],” West said, “It makes you a robot. We need a revamp of education.” West did not elaborate on what that revamp would entail.

Congressman Allen West will support competitive grant requests of merit on behalf of municipalities…

When confronted about the appeals for federal money he publicly opposed, Congressman West’s office said that the funding requests were consistent with the congressman’s stated positions. Referring to the article found here: The Daily Beast 

“Congressman West will support competitive grant requests of merit on behalf of municipalities and local organizations from his congressional district,” spokeswoman Angela Sachitano said in a written statement. Sachitano also said that West consistently votes to reduce the size of government and she reaffirmed West’s frequent statement that “job creation comes from the private sector and not from spending more of the American taxpayers’ money.”

“If funded by the Department of Energy, this innovative program will benefit residents, small commercial establishments, the local economy, and environment for many years to come,” West and his colleagues wrote. “We are proud to support solar power as a smart choice for commercial and residential property owners, as well as the development of new and innovative strategies to reduce market barriers and costs.”

U.S. needs jobs, Congressman Allen West a voice of reason, and other reader letters

We want jobs. Get behind the program. I don’t care how much the government has to spend. We want money put into the economy, and the best way is to create jobs. We need the teachers and first responders. We need to repair our infrastructure and our schools.

In the spirit of shared responsibility, the wealthy and businesses must share the burden. Seventy percent of the U.S. population thinks the wealthy should be taxed. They were the cause of the economic mess, and they should bail us out like we bailed them out.

OK, so you want to be an obstructionist. It’s good for politics. But it is not good for the country, it’s not patriotic, and you were voted in to represent your constituents. So, go ahead and obstruct, but when it comes time for the election, your constituents will remember.

Allen West a voice of reason on Muslim extremism

Congressman Allen West continues to state accurately the threat of violence arising from the Islamic ideology. He does so despite the continued disingenuous carping of the uninformed, America-is-always-wrong critics.

Coexisting peacefully with Islam is the goal, and it will be fully achievable when Muslims rid themselves of hate for religions other than theirs and when the leaders of that faith decry the teachings of achievement by any means, including through terrorism and violence. It is time that the threat is recognized and not concealed, says West.

Some years ago, Pope Benedict XVI noted that a philosopher had once described the Islamic faith as a religion of the sword. His comments resulted in the burning of two churches and the slaying of a nun, along with threats against the pope’s life.

After the 9/11 assault by Muslims on the World Trade Center and the homicide of some 3,000 innocent Americans, we witnessed video of jubilant Muslim parents being joined by their young children in street demonstrations. Muslim leaders were virtually silent in their condemnation of this behavior.

It is essential that Muslim leaders denounce all acts of terrorism by their Muslim brothers who constitute the extremist element.

In a recent poll, it was reported that extremist elements exist in many American Muslim communities.

The extent of this extremism is of concern to other members of Congress, including Rep. Peter King of New York, whose committee is investigating the extent of this home-grown terrorism.

Congressman West, a highly respected former Army lieutenant colonel who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, is a strong, articulate figure in the House of Representatives, and he is supported by Americans both in and outside of his South Florida district. We are fortunate to have his voice in Congress.

Rep Allen West joins Lauderdale-By-The-Sea: 10/1/11 “Its More Than Just a Beach Cleanup”

Beach Cleanup: Saturday, October 1st, 2011 @ 9:00 AM

Help keep our beaches clean, SCUBA dive under the pier and meet your Congressman, all in one morning at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea this Saturday!

We love our beaches in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea and we pride ourselves on keeping them clean. On the first Saturday of every month volunteers gather at the Pavilion to walk our beach and pick up what others leave behind. As the sponsor of this month’s beach cleanup, By The Sea Realty will be providing garbage bags, gloves and bottled water for all volunteers. The town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea will provide other refreshments and our wonderful chamber of commerce along with other members of the business community will be doing their part as well. Volunteers are encouraged to join us at 9:00 AM this Saturday at the Commercial Boulevard pavilion next to Anglin’s Fishing Pier. If you love our town too then please join us for a fun morning at the beach. The more the merrier!

SCUBA Divers Will Clean the Pier starting @ 7:00 AM

Divers needed to help clean the Anglins Pier reef

Gold Coast Scuba in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea has organized a pier and reef cleanup to begin at 7:00 AM before the beach cleanup. In a coordinated effort between divers and local fisherman, garbage under the pier will be brought to the surface and taken away by boat. If you are interested in joining the cleanup dive please contact Gold Coast Scuba for details at (954) 616-5909 or visit their Meetup web site at http://www.meetup.com/goldcoastscuba/  As of today there are 26 spots left. Divers will meet at Gold Coast Scuba, 229 Commercial Blvd., at 7:00 AM for a briefing before heading to the pier.

Congressman West is an avid SCUBA diver and will be participating in both the pier cleanup and the beach cleanup. Rep Allen West “When you look at a community that’s truly suffering”

“When you look at a community that is truly suffering — 16.7 percent [black] unemployment, 20 percent adult black unemployment and 45 [percent] to 46 percent black teenage unemployment, [a] 41 percent increase in food stamp recipients, poverty at the highest in 50 years, it is not about you coming up and telling people they have to stop complaining,” West said.

The accusation of Allen West merely speaking in soundbites doesn’t add up. via TownHall

I found this op-ed by an attendee of the Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference, to be a rather interesting. The author writes that she wished Rep. Allen West, when speaking at the event, had done more to talk about conservative principles.

“Thousands from all across the country gathered in the nation’s capital last weekend to discuss varying issues within the Black community and the only workshop led by the retired Lt. Colonel was a discussion on the past and future of African-Americans in the military. As West is the only conservative member of the CBC, I expected him to give me more. …”

“With thousands of community leaders, elected officials, non-profit leaders, and Black voters in attendance, the ALC conference this past weekend would have been an ideal opportunity for Rep. West to lead a discussion on conservatism in the Black community. I would argue it would have been the most attended session. I certainly would have attended, if only to hear the answer to the question, what is the conservative agenda to address the needs of black communities?

“So far the legislation he has proposed and supported do not give any indication that conservatives have a comprehensive agenda that would address issues such as soaring unemployment, the increasing number of children living in poverty, substandard public education, disparities in health care and the plague of gun violence in communities across the country. … “

Now, my guess is West would have been only to happy to engage in a lengthy discussion of conservative principles, though I doubt his CBC colleagues would have been very happy. I think the author’s idea is a fantastic one. But it’s clear from the last sentence in the quoted paragraph that the author really hasn’t been listening already to what West says, or what conservatives are saying. The Republicans have been talking about little else than jobs. West had a bill that would give tax credits to help the unemployed (found just through a simple Google search). He also talks about the destruction of the family at that same CBC convention.
