The Allen West Guardian Fund was established as a PAC to support conservative military veteran and minority Republicans running for state and federal office, in the same vein as Allen West.

Allen West first took an oath to support and defend our Constitution as a young Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. During his 22 years of service, he was distinguished by numerous commendations and honors for valor, achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel.

In 2010, Colonel West once again reaffirmed that oath when he became the first black Republican from Florida to serve
in the United House Representatives since Reconstruction.

Forty years ago, 72% of House lawmakers and 78% of those in the Senate had served in the armed forces. Veteran representation on Capitol Hill has been steadily declining since the early 1970s, largely a result of the World War II generation steadily leaving public office. But those who have served in the military have a better understanding and a deeper comprehension of issues involving national security, armed services and veteran issues –issues no less important now than they were 40 years ago.

Colonel West was one of only four black Republicans to serve in the United States House of Representatives in nearly a century. In the Senate, there have been only two. As the demographics of the U.S. population shift, it becomes ever more critical to increase representation by not only black, but Hispanic and Asian American leaders as well.

The leadership PAC Colonel West established during the 2012 election cycle with the same mission helped 7 military veteran candidates win their seats in the House of Representatives.

We must ensure conservative leaders are elected who will stand as guardians of our constitutional republic, to restore our nation’s fiscal responsibility and strong national defense, limit the growth of government, unleash the free market and preserve the liberty and sovereignty of its citizens.

CPAC Wrap Up: Grass Roots vs. The Establishment

Allen West sums it up in a recap of CPAC 2013, Allen West Guardian Fund and more

westpac-logo

Dear Friends

Between launching the Allen West Guardian Fund and speaking at and attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) just outside Washington, DC, it’s been an eventful week. You’re probably surprised to hear from me again, but I promise I won’t ask you for money today. I simply want to recap what’s happened over the past 5 days.

  • On Tuesday, we announced the Guardian Fund and our goal to raise $5 million over the next two years to elect 12 hard-charging, constitutional conservatives to Congress. Thanks to your unwavering support and that of thousands of patriots like you, we’re well on the way to meeting our goal.
  • On Thursday, I gave one of the opening addresses at CPAC and outlined what we as conservatives must do to start winning elections again and reminded the audience why we must combat the Obama administration’s radical leftist agenda at every turn. I encourage you to check out the speech here, because the one-liners the media have reported don’t do it justice.
  • I spent the remainder of CPAC meeting with activists and listening to the concerns, ambitions, and plans conservatives across America have for the next few years. I returned home to Florida last night with a renewed sense of hope and today, my faith in our conservative movement is greater than ever.

I’m very excited about what the next two years will bring for conservatives, and of course the Guardian Fund. We have our work cut out for us, but I’m confident that our values will prevail over the radical left and we’ll succeed in our mission.

Thank you for your continued support and friendship.

Steadfast and loyal,

Allen West

Allen West ” Instead of a swanky dinner with GOP Senators, they should have ordered some Chick-fil-A”

allenw

by Allen West via Facebook

Everyone is talking about the dinner meeting last night with President Obama and several GOP Senators. Now I wonder if those fellas paid for that dinner themselves, or charged it to the American taxpayer? I would have preferred the President take a lesson from the movie “Dave.” Just find a simple person, a good CPA, and go line by line through the federal budget. What a great scene that was. Instead of these folks going out for a swanky dinner, they should have ordered some Chick-fil-A with the sweet tea on their own dime and locked themselves in a room with 2-3 CPAs and this morning announce they found $400B/yr to trim off the federal budget over the next ten years. OK, a fella can dream, can’t he?

Allen West “Yep, the duplicitous hypocrisy and double standards are alive and well”

allen-west-cpac-feb-2011-cropped-proto-custom_28

by Allen West via Facebook

Howdy everyone, hope you enjoyed your President’s Day. I took a moment to consider the typical liberal left hypocrisy as evidenced by media attention. Think about the episode involving former IL Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr, and his wife and campaign funds misappropriation to the tune of $750M. What, you’re not hearing about that in the media? Imagine if this were instead a former black conservative GOP Member of Congress. Or how about the countless droning stories about a Hispanic Senator taking a drink of water, as opposed to a Hispanic Senator involved in ethics violations and potentially underage prostitution. Yep, the duplicitous hypocrisy and double standards are alive and well…just think if Operation Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and drone attacks on Americans had occurred in a Republican administration.
