2nd Amendment in grave danger, Senators warn of sweeping ammo bans coming!
Our Second Amendment is continually under attack. If the liberals can’t get a gun control bills passed, they use back door legislation to try and ban ammunition. This time it is not legislation by the body that is to produce it, it is coming by executive order from the Executive Branch. President Obama is determined to get gun control one way or another. The problem with this whole situation is criminals do not obey laws no matter who creates them. Criminals will get guns and ammo by any means necessary. To impose an ammunition ban such as this, is not only UNConstitutional, but it is ridiculous. How many criminals are using guns that they registered? How many of them care what kind of gun they use or the ammo they buy? How many of these criminals go out and get this particular gun and ammunition that “pierces police body armor”? THEY DON’T
Here is a recent report of interest “Zero Police Officers killed by Obama’s bad ammo”
The White House claim that the ammunition for the popular AR-15 rifle should be banned as part of a “common sense” effort to protect police officers’ lives is being derided by police officers themselves as a shameful lie.
President “Pen and Phone” is ruling by edict as if he were a king. This must be stopped.
The Washington Examiner Reported Today:
A majority in both the Senate and House — 52 senators, 238 House members — have joined to oppose the Obama administration’s move to ban a popular type of ammo used in the top-selling AR-15 rifle and pistol because it pierces police body armor.
A week after the House members, led by Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte, sent a letter of opposition to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley echoed that in his own letter signed by 51 others.
In their letter, the senators said that the 5.56 M855 “green tip” cartridge was exempted in a 1986 law, along with other rifle ammo from bans on armor-piercing rounds. The reason: popular rifle ammo is typically not used in shootouts with police.
