I have a simple question for the female readers of this website: are y’all ok with this?
As Written By Allen B. West:
I’m speaking on the campuses of several colleges and universities this month of October. Y’all have been kept abreast of my journey and address at St. Louis University. I also have trips planned for Gonzaga, Notre Dame, Central Missouri, and today I’m in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to speak at Wilkes University on small business growth and veteran entrepreneurship.
I very much enjoy being back on college campuses sharing with the students — the ones that don’t walk out. I’ve been to DePaul, Northwestern and Marquette, to name a few, and my greatest honor was to return to Rocky Top last year and speak at my alma mater, the University of Tennessee…and what a game against Georgia last week Saturday!
Anyway, I tend to believe there’s one campus I won’t be invited to attend anytime ever. As reported by Fox News, “Duke University is famous for its science and engineering programs, as well as its dominance in college basketball. Now, it may also become known as a great place for men to gather and contemplate why they’re such horrible people.
The Duke Men’s Project, launched this month and hosted by the campus Women’s Center, offers a nine-week program for “male-identified” students that discusses male privilege, patriarchy, “the language of dominance,” rape culture, pornography, machismo and other topics. The student newspaper’s editorial board endorsed the new program yesterday, insisting it was “not a reeducation camp being administered by an oppressed group in the service of the feminization of American society.”
But it’s easy to see why they felt the need to defend against such concerns. Junior Dipro Bhowmik, who sits on the leadership team, recently said the goal of the Duke Men’s Project is for male students to “critique and analyze their own masculinity and toxic masculinities to create healthier ones.”
Well, I’m at a loss for words — actually, there are many words I could use, but sadly not in this forum. I will however say, Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot? A nine-week program for “male-identified” students about male privilege, and all that other nonsense?
Oops, I said a bad word — nonsense. That obviously translates to me being disinterested in the feelings of others and detached — clearly a reflection of machismo. And someone please explain to me the phrase “in the service of the feminization of American society?”
Maybe Duke University will cancel its football program — certainly this project will end their lacrosse program — they already tried once you know. Seriously, I’m in such a state of shock that I have no response to this absurdity — and this is what folks are paying that high tuition for? Can you just imagine what this means, “critique and analyze their own masculinity and toxic masculinities to create healthier ones?” What in God’s name does that mean? Is there some man-hating dominatrix in the classroom who will beat these insecure males down to make them believe they must all have their testosterone drained from their bodies?
Ya know, some folks say this “post-modern” liberalism is a mental illness…when I read stuff like this, I’m inclined to believe it so.
Here ‘s the deal: please keep the Duke Men’s Project away from Ft. Bragg and Camp Lejeune, both military bases located in the state of North Carolina. These installations are the home to the U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Forces and the II Marine Expeditionary Force. You know, those guys who possess toxic masculinity — and you think Islamic jihadists and terrorist aren’t just laughing their butts off? They’re just counting the days when they can turn America into a Sharia-dominated state. And y’all laugh, but if we’re dumb enough to elect Hillary Clinton, there will be more of this liberal progressive socialist lunacy. Where do these people come from?
I have a simple question for the female readers of this website: are y’all ok with this? I think in the future, women in North Carolina, or anywhere, may have to ask a guy if he graduated from Duke University. It will let you ….
