Allen West: In 28 days, Hillary will be FORCED to answer this

Will anyone in this present presidential election cycle address these issues? Hillary Clinton is incapable of doing so but will be forced to do so soon.

As Written By Allen B. West:

I love it when I get the Obama talking points. You know, the ones that drone on about the low unemployment rate and all the private sector jobs created. It’s funny — those talking points never address debt, deficits, GDP/economic growth, national security, and especially foreign policy. You never hear the progressive socialist left speak about the declining global security situation since the arrival of Barack Obama.

Well, never fear. That topic is being discussed elsewhere. And in just 28 days, during the first presidential debate, you can bet it will be front and center.

As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, “After nearly eight years in office, most observers would conclude that President Barack Obama has done little to advance, and may well have undermined, American interests in the Middle East.

While he would tout the Iran nuclear deal as perhaps his greatest foreign policy achievement, a debatable proposition in itself, the region is embroiled in a series of crises the current administration seems unable to address or understand.

In their masterful new book, Ray Takeyh and Steve Simon contend that in the not too distant past the United States was far more successful in the region. As they write, “by the time the Cold War ended the United States did achieve its core objective—the exhaustion of a rival superpower, establishment of a robust system of air and naval bases, preservation of a steady supply of oil, and emergence of a secure Israel.”

In making their case, the authors rely on ample research and their own considerable expertise, as both have served at the highest levels of the U.S. government. The book’s ten chapters cover events in the Middle East from the end of World War II through the 1991 end of the Cold War. Readers are taken through the early days of the Palestinian problem, the Six Day War, the Iran-Iraq War, and the first Gulf war. American political maneuvering, backed by military power, combined to produce outcomes favorable to U.S. interests.”

At this current pace, neither of the presidential candidates is discussing too much about foreign policy and national security. Needless to say, the most important title of the president is commander in chief. The left always parroted the theme of Obama “inheriting a mess” – well, he has only exacerbated the issue. Unless you consider the worst economic recovery since WW II as fantastic, we’re in a mess.

When Obama came to office the national debt was at $10.67 trillion. It will certainly be at $20 trillion when he departs January 20, 2017…143 days, but who’s counting?

The unemployment situation in America is dire. When was the last time you heard a left wing liberal news media outlet explaining the workforce participation rate? When was the last time any liberal progressive media outlet articulated that we have some 93 million Americans out of the workforce, millions more in poverty and on food stamps?

And if you haven’t been paying attention, just about every major healthcare insurance company has dropped Obamacare’s exchanges. As a matter of fact, there are some counties in the United States where there is NO private healthcare insurance coverage — methinks this was the intent all along to move towards a single payer system. And do you ever ask yourself, if Obama has done so great with the stimulus why is Hillary Clinton talking about infrastructure spending?

Now I could go on about the deplorable domestic policy situation which Obama created — he has been the president for the past seven-and-a-half years, not George W. Bush, folks. But consider what has happened globally.

Let’s start with the Middle East, not exactly the best of regions, but after our pulling it together in Iraq, the enemy, Islamic jihadism, had been put on the run.

I find it very interesting that Barack Obama and his acolytes decided in Iraq that agreeing with George W. Bush was convenient. Obama made a choice to not seek a strong SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) in Iraq, nor seek out the viable option of a residual force. Therefore a vacuum was left in Iraq, which has been filled by ISIS and Iran.

And speaking of Iran, anyone who believes the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the Iranian nuclear agreement, is a good thing is delusional. Consider that we have released within the last two weeks $400 million and $1.3 billion to the Iranians, as they play a cat and mouse game with our Naval warships in the Persian Gulf — hint: we were not the cat.

Obama’s embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood-backed president in Egypt, Mohammad Morsi, should have been very disturbing for us all. And since the Egyptian people rose up with the help of their military and deposed Morsi, the relationship with Egypt and the Obama administration has been rather strained.

Obama and Clinton intervened into Libya at a time when there was a more serious human rights episode in Syria. As a matter of fact, it was Obama who stated Assad must go –well, Assad is still there and Qaddafi has been executed. Syria is a mess and Libya is a new base of operations for ISIS and other Islamic jihadists.

The Russian reset button has been a laughable failure, and the person who presented the toy box with the red button is running for president — so much for American respect.

During the Obama years, Putin has taken over the Crimea, threatened the Ukraine, deployed and propped up Bashar Assad, and has become the main man in the Middle East: just peachy.

China has thrived under the reign of weakness that has come to symbolize the Obama years. Their incursions into the South China Sea threaten the Pacific Rim and imperil a major sea lane of commerce where some 35 percent of shipping transits. Of course Barack Obama has so decimated our U.S. Navy strength from a height during the Reagan years — since the Obama faithful love to make that comparison — of 585 surface warships down to some 283, with an objective of 230. No wonder our Navy ships are being harassed by the Iranians and buzzed by the Russians.

And in Afghanistan, well, who wants to argue that things are better? Just last week we had a major terrorist attack against the American University in Kabul and lost a Soldier in Helmand province.

Will anyone in this present presidential election cycle address these issues? Hillary Clinton is incapable of doing so since, as secretary of state, she was a member of the National Security Council for Obama’s first term. She helped ….
