Allen West ‘YGTBSM!’

As Written By Allen B. West:

There is an acronym out there, YGTBSM. I think y’all know what it means, if not, Google it. Well, this acronym is very apropos for something that just came out of Iran. I mean, these guys had best wake up and smell the coffee; no more weak-kneed American foreign policy fellas.

As reported by Reuters, Iran threatened on Friday to retaliate against a U.S. Senate vote to extend the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) for 10 years, saying it violated last year’s deal with six major powers that curbed its nuclear program.

The ISA was first adopted in 1996 to punish investments in Iran’s energy industry and deter its alleged pursuit of nuclear weapons. The extension was passed unanimously on Thursday.

U.S. officials said the ISA’s renewal would not infringe on the nuclear agreement, under which Iran agreed to limit its sensitive atomic activity in return for the lifting of international financial sanctions that harmed its oil-based economy.

But senior Iranian officials took odds with that view. Iran’s nuclear energy chief, Ali Akbar Salehi, who played a central role in reaching the nuclear deal, described the extension as a “clear violation” if implemented.

“We are closely monitoring developments,” state TV quoted Salehi as saying. “If they implement the ISA, Iran will take action accordingly.”

The diplomatic thaw in swing between Washington and Tehran over the past two years looks in jeopardy with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump taking office next month. He said during his election campaign that he would scrap the nuclear agreement.

Iran’s most powerful authority, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had already warned in November that an extension of U.S. sanction would be viewed in Tehran as a violation of the nuclear accord.

Iran is complaining about a violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)? The Iranian nuclear agreement outlined that Iran was not supposed to buy or sell any conventional weapons for five years. Iran has indeed gone into negotiations with Russia for the purchase of new tanks and fighter aircraft, as well as purchased and employed the S-300 surface-to-air missile system.

The JCPOA stated Iran was not to conduct any ballistic missile activity for eight years; that has been violated.

The Iranians seized two U.S. Navy Riverine assault craft and placed our Sailors on their knees at gunpoint. This occurred on the verge of this insidious agreement being signed. Am I delusional to think that if you want to be trusted you would not take such an action, and promulgate pictures and video as propaganda of those U.S. Sailors?

Iran has deployed its terrorist-designated Quds Force into Syria, and its leader, Gen. Qassem Suleimani, was not to travel outside of Iran by UN mandate — yet he has traveled to Iraq, Russia and Syria.

Iran has continued to support the designated terrorist group, Hezbollah, and they’re active in Syria supporting Bashar Assad, who recently met with the Hezbollah leader, Hasan Nasrallah.

Oh yeah, then there’s that little incident of Iranian ships harassing our naval vessels, and the Iranian-supported Houthi rebels in Yemen firing missiles upon a US naval vessel.

So, I repeat, YGTBSM. However, this is a tactic used by Islamists over the years. They always claim aggrieved status when someone responds to their belligerence, in essence, playing the victim. Case in point, we have the Somali refugee at Ohio State University who decided that since he felt offended and disrespected, the only recourse was to get in a car and drive over students and then proceed to stab and slash them. Hey, if you’re a Muslim and folks draw pictures of Mohammed, it makes you so mad you have to storm the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo and kill people. Islamo-fascists have this issue with tolerance, it only goes one way — and when tolerance becomes a one way street, it leads to cultural suicide. In Germany, when roving gangs of single military-age Muslim males sexually assault females, it’s because they were provoked to do so. You know, if you women in Western nations would just cover yourselves head to toe, then you would not provoke these animal instincts in these males.

These threats of “Iran will take action accordingly” would work with the appeasing wimps of the Obama administration. However, with the incoming Trump administration, these threats will meet determined and resolute focus and won’t be taken lightly. Iran will not dictate our legislative policy, nor shall we cower from them as before. The days of Iran receiving billions of dollars and not adjusting their obtuse belligerence are coming to an end.

And I think the Iranians need to grasp this basic concept: the U.S. is not going to base its foreign policies on what other countries like. If the Iranians haven’t been paying attention, France is disgusted with its leader. Britain has a new leader. Angela Merkel is struggling. And America is not going to wait for Vladimir Putin’s approval.

It’s beyond comprehension that the Iranians truly believe they hold any high ground on this issue. But when you have our CIA Director going on interviews with the BBC saying any abandonment of the Iranian agreement is disastrous, Iran senses confusion. There must be no confusion about our strategy towards the #1 state sponsor of Islamic terrorism, Iran. We cannot continue down the path of rewarding bad behavior in the largest international Pavlovian experiment.

The Iranians have violated every aspect of the executive agreement Barack Obama promoted. It’s not a treaty, and with the exit of Barack Obama, so goes this agreement between he and the people who have the blood of Americans on their hands. The Trump administration is going to be immediately tested in its first 60-90 days by Russia, Iran, China and the global Islamic jihad. They must exhibit strong resolve and deliver a clear message that will cause our global antagonists to hesitate. These eight years of the Obama administration have been like a green light for every despot, dictator, autocrat and theocrat — along with Islamic jihadists. They see themselves as having a position of strength; hence, the Iranians make such declarations.

One of the early policy statements the Trump administration will have to issue is relating to Russia, China, North Korea and Iran — those are the belligerent state actors. As well, this is not just about one non-state, non-uniform, unlawful enemy combatant group, this is about a global Islamic jihad movement. The policy must be specific and direct, using all elements of our national power — diplomatic, informational, military and economic.

And key to all of this is a credible consequence and deterrence when policy negotiations are violated. The Iranians, and many others, understand and respond to strength and might. America did not ask for its embassy to be attacked and its citizens taken hostage by Iran. America did not ask for Iranian-backed Hezbollah to attack our military barracks in Beirut, killing 234 Marines and Sailors. America did not ask for the lethal explosive force penetrator device to be developed by Iran and employed against our troops in Iraq.

Iran has been provoking and attacking America since 1979. The Islamists, Ayatollahs, Mullahs and clerics should be thanking the Lord God Almighty that they have not been crushed. However, we’ve been polite. We’ve been..
