Congressman Allen West keeps his GOP presidential preference to himself – via Post On Politics

PALM BEACH — U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, says he knows who he’d vote for if Florida’s Republican presidential primary were held today. But West isn’t revealing his choice and says he “probably” will not make an endorsement.

Discussing the GOP presidential contest after a town hall meeting here, West said, “The most important quality we have to understand is the presidential election cycle is different from a midterm elections cycle. Image is a lot more important in a presidential cycle.

“So I want to make sure that we have someone with a very strong, charismatic persona that can deliver the message of conservative thought here in the United States of America,
