Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democrat Representative from Florida, got slammed hard by Jeb Bush for her key role in the Imran Awan scandal. The Democrats also revived some of his disdain. Awan is the IT guy hired by Wasserman-Schultz and allowed him access to much of the House’s email and data systems. Awan has been charged with fraud and other felonies. Little Debbie has stood behind him up until he was arrested by the FBI at the airport trying to flee the United States. After the investigation broke, many House members fired Awan and Alvi, but Wasserman Schultz did not. In a statement, Wasserman Schultz said there hadn’t been enough evidence against Awan at the time to warrant termination. “After details of the investigation were reviewed with us, my office was provided no evidence to indicate that laws had been broken,” she said, “which over time, raised troubling concerns about due process, fair treatment and potential ethnic and religious profiling.” She even said that Awan was the victim of Islamophobia.

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush slammed Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and House Democrats on Saturday for their “incompetence and terrible judgment” in the growing House IT scandal.
“The incompetence and terrible judgment displayed by Debbie Wasserman Schultz and House Democrats is jarring,” Bush wrote on Twitter, linking to a column by Wall Street Journalist Kimberly Strassel titled, “The Scandal That Mattters.”
Strassel noted that “based on what we already know, the Awan story is—at the very least—a tale of massive government incompetence that seemingly allowed a family of accused swindlers to bilk federal taxpayers out of millions and even put national secrets at risk. In a more accountable world, House Democrats would be forced to step down.”
