In this video, you will see and hear Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) tell MSNBC’s Mark Halperin that, basically, he will not go away from investigating President Donald Trump. He means on any and/or all issues. It reminded me of a poem called “Antigonish” by American educator and poet William Hughes Mearns. The poem goes
“As I was going up the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there!
He wasn’t there again today,
Oh how I wish he’d go away!”
When I came home last night at three,
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall,
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door…
Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little man who wasn’t there,
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away…
The ongoing investigations into collusion and whatever are approaching this level of annoyance, don’t you think? Read the Senator’s remarks here.
As Written By Frank Camp for the Daily Wire:
On Thursday, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) was asked by MSNBC’s Mark Halperin about the continuing investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. His answer was informative:
BLUMENTHAL: Ultimately, the question is: What did the president know and when did he know it?
HALPERIN: Senator, when will this process conclude?
BLUMENTHAL: I think it will conclude when we conclude that we’ve uncovered all of the evidence of potential compromises of the Department of Justice. It’s our oversight responsibility to determine whether there was any kind of wrongdoing relating to that Department of Justice investigation, and we’re going to continue working until we uncover all the evidence that may exist of obstruction of justice, of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians in interfering in this election. And we’re determined to get at the truth……..
