You read that headline correctly; Hillary Clinton did save the Electoral College. That does seem counter intuitive until you understand that this was exactly what the college was designed to do. The founding fathers understood the power of the large States, if not equallized, to control all aspects of the nation. Hillary’s defeat proved beyond a doubt that things worked exactly as designed long ago. Otherwise, we would all be doing whatever Califrnia and New York decided that we would do. That also is why we were designed as a Republic. Pure Democracy is mob rule.

Is there a reason for the Electoral College? California. The Electoral College was specifically set up to prevent large states from being the only states to elect a president.
When Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the presidential election, Democrats decided to blame the rules rather than their candidate’s lackluster campaign. There is now a movement among Democrats to abolish the Electoral College and rely on the popular vote total to elect the presidents. Many Democrats are still seething over Al Gore’s 2000 loss to George W. Bush. In both cases, Democrats claimed that a popular vote victory should have been enough for a victory.
The popular vote victory is actually a canard. Neither Gore or Clinton won the popular vote. In both cases it was a statistical tie. Had every single vote been counted ten times, Bush, Gore, Clinton and Trump each would have won the popular vote five times.
For a moment let us blindly accept the flawed and disputed liberal notion that Clinton won the popular vote. This would justify the Electoral College even more, not less….. Keep reading at the link below….
