Is President Trump’s Warning To Mueller Falling on Deaf Ears?

Do you think Trump is right to request or demand that Mueller and his team not look into his personal finances? In essence, this should be about the Presidency and not Trump’s business. All paperwork needed to assign power over to his sons was handled so really… this has nothing to do with it.

What do you think? Would Trump’s personal finances actually give a peak into the alleged “Russian Collusion” ?

As written for The Daily Caller by Alex Pfeiffer:

President Donald Trump told The New York Times Wednesday that it would be improper for special counsel Robert Mueller to investigate his family’s finances in a manner not related to the probe into Russian election interference.

Mueller, a registered Republican, has hired at least seven Democratic donors to join his investigative team, including one attorney who donated roughly $34,000 to federal Democratic candidates.

Trump has previously called this hiring practice “ridiculous,” and was asked by the Times whether he would ever order the Justice Department to fire Mueller. He said he would not do so, but he did say that Mueller would cross a red line by opening a broad investigation into his family’s finances unrelated to the Russia investigation.

Interestingly, 7 people on Mueller’s team are Democrats… given that Mueller is a registered Republican, the move is suspect to say the least.

As reported by New York Post:

The Times also reported that Trump criticized Mueller for running an office rife with conflicts of interest.

Trump did not say what he would do if Mueller subpoenaed financial records. However, the president reportedly considered firing the special counsel in the past.

The president has repeatedly refused to release his tax returns or the financial information for his sprawling real estate empire.

Mueller is looking into collusion between Russia and Trump campaign aides during the 2016 presidential election.
