When push finally came to shove, President Donald Trump went ahead and signed the Omnibus Bill today. This was after the President issued a veto threat earlier. The President is NOT happy with the spending bill that he had to sign. His campaign promise on the wall and immigration seemed to have got shot full of holes by the Dems and the GOP. Why then did President Trump sign the bill? Secretary of Defense Mattis made a last minute plea. What was the General concerned about? Here are the details.

As Written and Reported By Christian Datoc for the Daily Caller:

Secretary of Defense James Mattis has reportedly warned President Donald Trump against vetoing the the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill.

According to Fox News, Mattis frantically called the White House Friday morning after POTUS tweeted he was “considering” thumbs-downing the bill to keep the government open.

Fox’s Chad Pergram reports that Hill staffers believed Trump could “flatline defense if he’s not careful.”

Trump flipped a possible veto onto congressional Democrats Friday morning, though he ultimately decided to sign the bill Friday afternoon.
