UPDATE: Baltimore Man NOT Shot At By Police

RNN) – Baltimore police arrested a man for a handgun on Monday, refuting initial reports that police shot a man.

“The reports of a man being shot at North and Pennsylvania Ave are NOT true. Officers have arrested a man for a handgun at the location,” the Baltimore Police Department tweeted.

The Baltimore Sun reports the commander tried to arrest the man, the gun fell and discharged. The suspect was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police held a brief news conference to confirm he was not shot, but would not say why the suspect was taken away in an ambulance.

Fox News showed an image of an officer standing next to a revolver type handgun.
