UPDATE: Unfortunately Steve Scalise was re-admitted back into the ICU tonight at a Washington, D.C. hospital and is considered to be in “serious condition” due to concerns for infection.
Before this, he was doing much better. See our story below!
Good news! Steve Scalise, one of the victims of John Hodgkinson the Congressional Baseball shooter, is no longer completely bed ridden!
He’s not able to eat just yet but he is getting better as gathered by reporters.
On June 14th, mere weeks ago, Scalise was shot and critically wounded by Alt-Left, Bernie Supporting, John Hodgkinson, along with four others, during a baseball practice for a charity event that was to take place the following day. There were a number of red flags indicating Hodgkinson was unstable. The investigation continues to try and get inside the mind of this deranged man.
He along with others seem to be recovering well. And since then, several Liberals have condemned his actions and both sides of the isle hope it allows them to begin working more together.
As written for The Daily Wire by Aaron Bandler:
Here is a bit of good news in a crazy news cycle: Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) is no longer completely bedridden.
Rep. Phil Roe (R-TN) told WJHL that Scalise is steadily improving after being shot in the hip by a deranged gunman in June and that he’s “just out of bed.
“He’s not able to eat yet, but he is getting better,” Roe said.
Roe also mentioned that the Scalise family had originally planned to go on vacation in Pigeon Forge at this time but were unable to given Scalise’s injury, so Roe invited him to an LSU-Utah football game in November.
“Hopefully, he’ll be well enough then,” Roe said.
On June 14, Scalise and four others were shot on a baseball field in Alexandria, Virgina, by James Hodgkinson, a far-left supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who had a history of anger issues and seemed intent on murdering Republican congressman. There were a number of red flags about Hodgkinson that should have caused people to be aware that something was wrong.
