White House Attorney Predicts a Quick End to Special Counsel probe

Do you think that the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, will be through with his investigation into Russian collusion by the end of the year? White House lawyer, Ty Cobb, who joined the White House staff on July 31 said that he thinks that all things related to President Trump will be done by the end of the year. Just who is Ty Cobb and where does he get his insight? Wikipedia has this to say about Mr. Cobb:

Cobb joined the White House’s internal legal team to manage matters related to the ongoing investigations into Russian election interference and possible collusion with the Trump campaign, starting 31 July 2017. Cobb will work within the White House, unlike other members of Trump’s legal team.[10][11][12] Cobb will work closely with Donald McGahn but report directly to President Trump.[8]

Cobb said that he took the job with Trump because “it was an impossible task with a deadline.” He elaborated further that he had “rocks in his head and steel balls.”[2] Cobb was recommended to Trump by John Dowd, a member of his private legal team.[7]

It is noted in this article that he is in constant contact with the office of the special counsel.

He declined to provide specifics backing his outlook, which contradicts media reports that the scope of Mueller’s probe is expanding and the views of several outside experts that the investigation is likely to continue well into 2018.

“I’d like to see the president out from under this by Thanksgiving, but certainly by year end,” Cobb said, adding that he would be “embarrassed” otherwise. “I think the relevant areas of inquiry by the special counsel are narrow.”

Mueller is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, among other matters. Moscow has denied interfering in the election and the president has denied ….
